Bienvenu sur le site AlexOnYoutube ! Ce site est destiné à quiquonque s’interesse à ce que je fais, aux guitaristes, musiciens, etc… Je partage ici mes covers guitare, et tous les réglages pour ceux qui en aurait besoin :)

Pourquoi un site ?

Oui pourquoi un site c’est vrai ? La raison est très simple, loin de moi toute idée de mégalomanie ! :mrgreen:

Lorsque je poste une vidéo sur Youtube, j’ai parfois plusieurs demandes (en messages personnels ou commentaires) à propos des réglages de mon M13, de ma guitare, des backings tracks, des tablatures, etc.. Et à chaque fois, je suis obligé de contacter les personnes par mail, de donner mon adresse mail, et de décrire mes réglages.. Une fois ou deux c’est cool, mais si c’est 3,4 fois par semaine, ça commence à être lassant ! :-S

Donc, j’ai décidé de faire partager ma passion pour l’informatique et pour la musique en créant ce petit site qui me servira à partager toutes les informations possibles sur mes covers ! :smile:

    Hello Alex, I like your U2 covers. Great work!!!.
    The other day I saw your video of Mercy and loved as you play it. I also saw the tutorial and It has served me well. I’d appreciate if you upload the tutorial of solo when you can.
    And the M13 settings that you use for this song, please?.

    Alex, we want to know old you were when you first started playing guitar, and how old you were when you first started learning u2 covers. Also where do you learn from? DVD’s , Online, tabs, music notation? How good is your theory?

    Alex, in your recording of ONE I know edge uses the Leslie. On the M13 there is either a rotary drum or rotary drum and horn. Can you tell me which one you used and what setting you had it set to? I am doing a cover of ONE and am not nailing the right sound effect with the rotary drum — sounds toyish.. I think my settings are off. Please share yours so I can get it a try.. thank you friend!

      Excuse moi Adrian mais je vais parler français car mon correcteur orthographique m’empêche de faire des phrases anglaises. je n’ai pas du tout le temps en ce moment de m’occuper du site. Pour One, j’utilise le « rotary drum and horn » pour les couplets. Screamer pour les refrains, et à vide pour l’introduction. Je ne te promet pas de mettre les réglages en ligne dans la semaine, mais je le ferai au plus vite. Sinon en attendant, tu peux trouver mes réglages de son (avec stratocaster) sur le site Vettaville.nl

    Regarding your new work onNYD , I’m planning on doing a cover of that myself. I found I was learning it with the Boss OD2 and it sounded to harsh. That pedal is great for UTEOTW though.

    I now have an Line6 m5 I added to my pedalboard as of yesterday :) Can you tell me how you emulate the sounds of NYD with your m13? What drive do you use and what settings? I believe it can be played with an SD1 pedal but I don’t have that one.

    2 questions:

    1) How many hours a day do you practice?

    2) Do you practice all your U2 covers? Or do you forget old ones once videos are made for youtube. if you practice all your covers how many do you do per day.. tell us a little about your schedule!

      Hi Adrian !
      So, I practice about 1 or 2 hours per day, but it’s not really ‘practice’, it’s more a plaisur, somedays, I don’t want to play guitar, and some days i can play all an afternoon.. :) And it’s the same for my covers, I play a song when I want, for exemple, I didn’t play Bad for a long time ago because I no longer like my sound :P And another exemple, since a week, i’ve played at least 80 times Streets.. ^^ It’s really random ! Currently, I’m wordking on a cover of New Years Day… :)

    Great website Alex. Keep in mind many of your followers will be english speaking so it may be a good idea to translate some of your statements into English. I can understand some french so I tried to comprehend what you wrote but not all of it.

    Also it’s great to see you so active in the U2 community. Are you going to become a professional musician for a living? Playing in a band, or teaching guitar?

    Are you going to school in France? University? You’re a young guy, you’ve got a good future ahead of you.

      Thanks Adrian ! I’m trying to translate the site, some pages are done :) I haven’t too much time at this moment, and my english is not really good… But i’ll translate the pages soon, for sure !
      I think i will not a professional musician, I’m studying in a computing ingenior school in France. But I’m really fond of music ! And I would like to make a cover band of U2 but nobody around me like U2 as I love them.. :P So I play alone waiting for an oportunity ;)
